Many faults can be sorted at the roadside — flat batteries, run-dry fuel tanks, punctures, blown fuses and stuck handbrakes. When the fault is more serious we load the vehicle and take it wherever you want it to go.
Roadside assistance first
Our vans carry lithium jump packs, fuel cans, tyre kits, basic tooling and diagnostics. If a quick fix will get you moving safely, that's usually cheaper for you than a recovery and it's what we'll recommend.
If the fault is mechanical, electrical or safety-related, we'll tell you honestly that the vehicle needs to be recovered rather than patched up on a live road.

What to do while you wait
Get the vehicle as far off the carriageway as you safely can, put your hazards on and, on a motorway or fast dual carriageway, get out on the passenger side and stand behind the barrier with any passengers and pets.
On a smart motorway, aim for the next emergency area and call National Highways on 0300 123 5000 so they can close the lane before we arrive.
